And that's the whole story of how I ended up banging my fists on the walls of the stockade while Captain Reed and his ringers played the biggest poker game of the war, with Nazi gold and human lives wagered on the table. It nearly killed me not to be there, but the MPs came charging into that alley seconds after I took the Gun from Mo, and they weren't inclined to let me loose in a hurry, even when I explained I had this really important poker game to get to.

Svetlana Yugrina outlasted toni42 and Ehsan, and Pia Koch and Martin Halder paid with their lives. But Thunderclap8, AmberJoy, SuperguyA1, RPGame, and Polaris saved their refugees. And Thunderclap8 took home a Nazi hoard worth $100,000.

That's the story, too, of how the Gun came to me, passing from the hand of a Half-Breed Johnnie Whitecloud, to a Killer, to me, on its way to Lucy Brown. Where it was, and who it killed, before it ever got to the War-well, that's a story for next time.
